"Out of Grandma's Treasure Chest."
It's a wonderful thing God has given us.
A memory as a treasure chest.
We try to store the beautiful things
And the others try to forget.
Beautiful thoughts of a little child
Gary was only four
When he was planning so many nice things
For his Grandma who was growing old.
He had seen the television
That was tops with him that day
He would send his Grandma one of those
As soon as he went away.
He would make her a beautiful dress of green
Perhaps of Red and Blue.
Just any thing that was beautiful
Little thoughts so sweet and true.
He said when his Grandma went some place
The people would all say
Oh look at the pretty Grandma,
A vision he could see.
I would not exhange those precious words
Spoken in love so sweet.
For these are the things we treasure most,
For they make our lives complete.
