Jane Keith
Shellsburg-Jane Keith, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at St Luke's Hospital in cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Rev. Don Alden officiating. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. A Memorial Fund has been established for improvements at the Shellsburg City Park.
Jane was born August 6 1932 to Roy and Verna (Case) Dickson at Benton City and graduated from the Shellsburg High School in 1950. On November 25, 1951 she married Del Keith at the Grace Trinity Church at the Grace Trinity Church in Shellsburg. She and Del enjoyed traveling in recent years. Jane also loved collecting antiques, playing Bingo and crocheting. She has always been an active member of her community, Jane especially enjoyed her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great granmother, and will be remembered for her sense of humor and loving personality.
She is survived by her husband Del Keith of Shellsburg; her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Lohrer of Urbana; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Keith of Shellsburg; her grandchildren Courtney Kermen and her husband, Erick of Cedar Rapids, Travis Lohrer of Cedar Rapids, Steven Lohrer of Urbana, Jennifer Keith of Iowa City, and Valerie Rios of Shellsburg; her great grandaughter, Savanna Rios of Shellsburg; her twin sister, Joan Mrstik and husband, Bob of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her son. Daniel Keith; her sisters, Gladyce Boyer and Mildred Boyer, and her brothers, David, Roy, Bob and Lee Dickson.
