Franklin Quinton Imboden was born in Imboden, Lawrence Co, AR, the son of Benjamin Franklin Imboden and Mary Elizabeth Ficklin. He was listed as the head in the census in Jun 1900 taken in Ford Co, KS. He died near Wheatland, Platte Co, WY.

Franklin Quinton IMBODEN and Zelia Elizabeth HOLMAN were married on Aug 30, 1882 in MO. Zelia Elizabeth HOLMAN was the daughter of William T. HOLMAN and Zelia Ann WOODS. Franklin Quinton IMBODEN and Zelia Elizabeth HOLMAN had 10 children.

This text is by Virginia Evelyn Cooper Dawson - "After his fathers death, Franklin and his mother rode horse back to her home in Missouri where he grew to manhood. After he and Zelia had been married a couple of years, they moved to Ford County, Kansas and endured the hardships of pioneer life--including droughts and a cyclone. After attaining success, his health began to fail and in 1910 they moved to Mountainair, Torrance County, New Mexico. He never regained his health and in a final search for a "good climate", he and Zelia boarded a train traveling north. He died on that train! The conductor wanted to put her and the body off at the first little town but Zelia, a very strong woman, said "NO." Somehow she was permitted to continue on to Wheatland, Wyoming where there was a mortuary. After the body was embalmed, Zelia brought it back to Mountainair. Franklin and Zelia are buried in the cemetery west of Mountainair."
