William Dean Albright, 13. A student from West Junior High School. He was survived by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Buried in the Mountain View Cemetery.

On June 9, 1972, a horrific flood roared through Rapid City, claiming 238 people and injuring hundreds more. On the evening of the flood he tried to move cows and hay to higher ground in the Nemo Rd area, he saved his brother Mike's life by pushing him up in a tree.
