KAYE EMERSON COMBS, 66, of Alachua passed away at her home on December 04, 2008. She had been a lifelong resident of Alachua. She had been a homemaker and a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Garvin K. Combs; 2 daughters: Dana Shiskin of Alachua, and Julie Rye of Alachua; 3 brothers: Charles Emerson of High Springs, Johnny Emerson and Jimmy Emerson both of Alachua; 3 sisters: Linda Riviere and Joye Emerson both of Alachua and Kelley Vaughn of Gainesville; 4 grandchildren: Megan Shiskin, Emma Shiskin, Mathew Rye and Hailey Rye.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, PL 32606-3809.
Services will be held on Monday, December 08, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill United Methodist Church at Traxler with Rev. James Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Alachua. Visitation will be held at Spring Hill United Methodist Church, 23300 Old Bellamy Rd. Alachua, on Sunday December 7, 2008 from 3 to 5 PM.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home.
