I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too,
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name,
All I have are memories,
and your picture in a frame,
Your memory is my keepsake,
with which I'll never part,
God has you in his keeping,
I have you in my heart.

Born in 1935 William was the oldest of twelve children born to William "Bud" and Ethel Sally White. He was a devoted husband to my mother Ruth for 51 years. He was a wonderful father to his daughters, Karen, Angie and Me (Joy). He had a great sense of humor and strong views on right and wrong. He was a deacon and founding member of Fernwood Baptist Church in Hamblen Co TN and was a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church at the time of his passing.

My Dad was a motorcycle mechanic trained and certified to work on Harley Davidsons. Motorcycles were his work, his hobby and his passion. He often fixed the bikes of friends and neighbors for little or nothing and he loved to buy wrecked bikes to rebuild from "the ground up". He sometimes took these rebuilt bikes to motorcycle shows. Once he won best in his class and made me go onto the stage to get his trophy. I was happy to go and get it until I got up on the stage and everyone was looking at me and cheering. I would have run away but the trophy was bigger than I was! He sometimes entered his bikes in races, once making the front page of a Florida newspaper for a wreck during the Daytona Bike Race at Daytona Speedway.

Daddy has six grandchildren, Morgan, Logan, David JR, William, Cooper and Emily. His grandchild William was born two days before Daddy passed on. My father worked hard to provide for us and he did well. He always got us what we needed, sometimes what we wanted and he always taught us what we needed to know if not with words then by example.

He had Parkinson's disease and suffered greatly in his last year with us. We felt his loss with pain but I am thankful he is at rest with God now. Rest In Peace Daddy, you will always be remembered with love.
