NOTE: The roster records his death at Chattanooga on July 10, 1864, however that is not correct. The Register of deaths of volunteers for the state of OH clearly shows his death on June 29th 1864 at Nashville. The roll of honor for OH shows him buried at Nashville, Tn at H 584 which would have been the grave number at the original City Cemetery before being moved to NNC.

Served in Co. C, 52nd Ohio Infantry.
Enlisted at the age of 30 on July 30, 1862.
Died in Cumberland General Hospital from chronic diarrhea.

Had one son: Robert Daniel, b. May 1862.
