She was the daughter of the prussian General Viktor von Hennigs. She was first married to Bogislaw von Schleicher a cousin of her second husband. After getting a divorce she married the later chancellor Kurt von Schleicher in 1931. When the SA (or the Gestapo) shot her husband she was accidentally hit by a bullet and died on way to the hospital.
