Miss Catherine Hape and Mr. Eugene F. King were married at St. Phillips church at 11 o'clock, a.m., Tuesday, and left on the noon train for Boston and other points east. Mrs. King is a charming young woman and Mr. King is connected with the Fidelity and Casuality Company.
Eugene King, cashier for the Atlanta branch of the Fidelity & Casuality Co., was married on Tuesday of this week at St. Phillips church in Atlanta to Miss Catherine Hape, daughter of Dr. Hape, of Hapeville. The happy couple left the same evening upon a bridal trip to Washington, D.C. and other Eastern cities. Mr. King started as an office boy with Manager Eugene Oberdorfer and has been promoted from time to time unitl he was appointed to his present position.

Eugene F. King, Sr., 89, Hapeville Insurance man and former mayor of the city, died Monday.
Mr. King served 10 years as mayor, from 1926-30 and from 1940-46. He had been treasurer of the Atlanta Burns Club since it was chartered in 1906 and a member of the Fulton County Democratic Executive Committee. He was the owner of the King Insurance Agency.
He was a member of Hapeville Lodge 590, F&AM, the Yaarab Temple and the Cascade-East Point Lodge 1617.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. William F. Collar, Jr., of Austell; son, Eugene F. King, Jr., of Hapeville; sisters, Mrs. Herbert Coughnour of Wilmington, N.C., Mrs. J. C. Snyder, Florence, S.C., brothers, Harry A. King, Wilmington, N.C., John H. King of High Point, N.C. and Richard M. King of Jacksonville, FL, granddaughter, Carol E. King of Hapeville, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m. at H. M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill. Dr. Bonneau H. Dickson officiating. Interment at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children.
