1912-2009

Mary A. Yerg, age 96, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009. Mrs. Yerg was born September 6, 1912 in Sharon, PA. She has resided in Barrineau Park and Molino for 80 plus years. She volunteered at Baptist Hospital for 30 years and was a member of Barrineau Park Community Center Historical Society.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Stephen Yerg, Sr. of Molino and her son James Yerg of Rock City, Texas, great granddaughter, Katy Flores of Pensacola.
Survivors include her sons, Stephen and Norma Yerg, Jr. and Frank and Vera Yerg, her daughter, Betty Bray, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and her loving dog Jasper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Barrineau Park with Father Tom Koyical officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Serving, as pallbearers will be Stephen Yerg, III, Phillip Yerg, Keith Yerg, Greg Carlisle, Tom Boatwright, Paul Schwartz, Gary Delapp and Randy Cole.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The family request that memorials be made to Barrineau Park Community Center, 6055 Barrineau Park School Road, Molino, Florida 32577.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Baptist Hospital for their professional and compassionate care.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Highway 29 South Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.
