Mr. George Howard Gatlin, age 93, of 2497 Triune Mill Road, Thomaston, Georgia, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Upson Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 2 pm at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Michael Wingershan and Rev. Eddie Matthews officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from noon until 2 p.m. at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home.

Mr. Gatlin was born in Bibb County, Georgia. He was employed by Thomaston Mills in the Card Room for 47 years. Mr. Gatlin was a member of King's Chapel Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Teal) Gatlin of Thomaston, two daughters, Rozell Orrick and Laverne (Billy) Pitts of Thomaston, step-daughter Lorraine (Charles) Greathouse of Thomaston, two step-sons, Sherdin (Carol) Mathis, Sr. and Jay (Lynda) Mathis of Thomaston, two brothers, Freddie Joe (Hilda) Morris of Jeffersonville, Georgia and Carlton (Elizabeth) Morris of Thomaston. Mr. Gatlin has four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchild, 16 step-great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild.
