MRS. CLYDE SHELTON
Mrs. Clyde O. Shelton of 1095-20th NE died at McCuistion regional Medical Center at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gary Regan. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Shelton, the former Tommie Alois Farris, was the daughter of John Alexander Farris and Dora (Hamilton) Farris. She was born May 17, 1896, in Tigertown. She attended Boswell, Okla., Public schools and taught school there until she married Mr. Shelton in June 1917*. After their marriage they lived in the Harmon and Roxton communities until 1932, when Mr. Shelton was elected Sheriff of Lamar County, and the couple moved to Paris.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class there.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Woodrow Shrum of Paris and Mrs. Boyd Westbrook of Paris; two sons, Joe F. Shelton of Paris and Thomas O. Shelton of Fort Towson, Okla., nice grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother Lee Norris Farris of Gracemont, Okla.
