Lorenzo was born Saturday, March 25, 1905 in Richmond to Neils Eskelsen and Othelia Jorgensen.

He married Nina Spenst in August of 1925 in Farmington. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on August 25, 1964. They resided at 964 West 300 North in the Fairpark neighborhood of Salt Lake City. He married Maria Obray Danielsen on December 28, 1967 in Evanston, Wyoming. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1976.

He was a construction foreman for the U.S. Geological Survey. He was a member of the LDS Church and a member of the Murray-Cottonwood Elks Lodge, No. 2344.

He passed away on Monday, December 29, 1980 at a nursing home in Bountiful. He was seventy-five. He resided at 133 East Williams Avenue (997 South) in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 2, 1981 at 11:00 a.m. at Deseret Mortuary located at 36 East 700 South in Salt Lake City. Calling hours were held at the mortuary on Thursday, January 1, 1981 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
Graveside services were held following the conclusion of the funeral services in the Logan City Cemetery located at 1000 North 1200 East in Logan, where Lorenzo was laid to rest.
