Gary Lee Fleming, 59, died of pulmonary fibrosis Wednesday, april 6, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Fry Funeral Home, tipton, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Ron Lashmit will officiate. Burial: Red oak Cemetery, Tipton.

Gary Lee Fleming, son of William and Wilma Grace Turner Fleming, was born January 28, 1946, in Fairfield, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. Degree. Gary served in the United States Marine Corps and was employed as a construction engineer and worked as an estimator/project manager. Gary was united in marriage to Gail Lynn Anderson on June 16, 1973 in DeKalb, Illinois. He was a member of the Tipton United Methodist Church, National Society of Professional Estimators and the Iowa State University Alumni Association.

Gary is survived by his father William Fleming of Fairfield, his wife, Gail Fleming of Tipton, Iowa; sons, Kyle William Fleming of Des Moines, Iowa and Chris Wilkinson of Fairfield, Iowa; daughters, Lisa Louise Fleming of Maryland Hts, Missouri and Julia Marie Fleming of Marion, Iowa; grandson, Brandon Fleming; sisters, Shirley Brobston of Hamilton, Illinois, Sandy Olinger of Virginia City, Nevada and Randy Larson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and a brother, Mark Fleming of Davenport, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Fleming and 2 infant children, David and Emily.
