Son of Erastus and Louisa Nabby (Dennison) Bateman. He married Nancy Johnson (1842-1901) on August 19, 1860 in Clinton County, Michigan. Parents of Myron Erastus Bateman (1862 – 1937).

Note: Nancy Ann Johnson was born August 1842 in Trumbull, Ohio and died on November 8, 1901 in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa, Wisconsin and buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Married four more times after Myron Erastus Bateman

She was was married secondly to Francis Marion Schofield (1842-1923) on December 19, 1865 in Richmond Twp., Mecosta Co., Mich. Parents of:
