Esther M.(Robinson)Decker, Thomas passed away at the age of 85, at Carroll House nursing home in Carrollton, Carroll County, Missouri.
She was born near Bogard, Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph H. and Emma Lee (Gilliland) Robinson. Esther graduated from Bogard High School in 1940.
Esther and her husband lived on a farm west of Bogard for many years, then moved to Carrollton, MO after she and Jack Thomas were married. She was employed as a Plate Freezer Operator with Banquet Foods,(Carrollton, MO), for over thirty years.
She was a member of the Mandeville Methodist Church and the Mandeville Merry Mixers club. (Mandeville is a small community, that is just north and west of the Decker farm.
Esther is survived by one son, Michael Fay Decker, who lives on the farm, west of Bogard, Missouri, one sister, Vivian Snell, Blue Springs,Missouri, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Her parents and two brothers, Alvin and J.H. Robinson, and both husbands preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Dr. Jim Robinson officiating. She is buried next to her father in Mt. Zion Cemetery, just south of Bogard, MO.
Visitation was held from 1:30 p.m. on March 29, 2007, until timeof services.
Contributions were suggested to be made to Mount Zion Cemetery in memory of Mrs. Thomas.
Esther will be remembered by her contagious smile.
