Obituary:

"1915 - 2004 Tucson antique dealer passed away at her home, on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the age of 88 years and 11 months. Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) and four of her five sons. She is survived by a son, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Tina; four grandsons, Scott, Troy, Bobby, Jeff and one granddaughter, Sherri Cummings; and 11 great-grandchildren. Christine and her late husband Bob moved to Tucson in 1947 and opened The Eastern Block Co., and later opened the Dairy Dell Ice Cream store. For the last 47 years she owned and operated Christine's Antique Shop on east Speedway. Christine was known as one of the most knowledgeable antique persons in Arizona. Christine loved her business, working full time until she had a stroke at the age of 87. Even while she was recovering at home, she wanted a detailed report of what was happening at her store and what customer friends came in. Christine's family, friends, and employees will miss her sometimes feisty but loving ways, always helping charities in the identifying of antiques. She loved her antique dolls and any doll collector was her friend. Christine is a great loss for the antique world of Tucson. Her son and daughter-in-law would like to thank her full time caregivers, Shanda, Gwen, and Pat for the comfort that they gave her. Donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, in memory of Christine, in lieu of flowers. At Christine's wishes, a private service will be held. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile."
