Kenneth was born in Ward and lived there with his family until his mother moved to Houston, TX.
Kenneth was 18 years and 5 months when he enlisted in the Marines 19 June 1967 at the Houston Recruiting Office. After boot camp and infantry training he went home for a short leave.
Upon arriving in Vietnam 25 November 1967 Kenneth was assigned to Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Kenneth died as a result of gunshot wounds to the neck and body due to hostile small arms fire, during an engagement against hostile forces in Operation Kentucky in the
vicinity of Alpha-3/Gio Linh Road and 2 kilometers west southwest of Gio Linh Village.
Kenneth was single and served his country for 7 months and 19 days and was KIA #21,687.
He had been in Vietnam 2 months and 13 days.
He was 19 years, 2 months and 13 days old.
Survived by his mother, Florence K Thomas and his sister; Susan Hudson of 515 Peden Street, Houston,TX and his brother; John D Hudson Jr of 1223 W Bell St, Houston, TX and a brother; Richard Hudson died 2005 and 2 sisters (names unknown).
His father; John D Hudson of unknown address.
