Granville Edwin Noblit, IV was born on 23 June 1954 in Dunedin, Florida to Granville Edwin "Bud" Noblit, III and Evelyn Loretta (Kulp) Noblit. He was nicknamed and known to his family and friends as "Dwin". In later years he was known as "Ed" to his business associates and clients.

Dwin grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida. After graduating from Tarpon Springs High School in 1972 he began working for the family business, Noblit Insurance Agency, Inc., which was founded in 1938 by his grandfather, Granville Edwin Noblit, Jr., and currently run by his uncle William V. "Bill" Noblit Sr., President and his father Granville Edwin "Bud" Noblit, III, Vice-President. This family business was truly that. Even Dwin's sisters Carol and Jill worked part-time at the agency while attending college, as well as his cousins Jan, Bonnie, and Robin Noblit.

Dwin had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. He was so very pleasant and kind to be around. On 6 September 1975, he married Deborah Edwina "Debbie" Kinder.
To this union were born three children. Granville Edwin V "Grant", Cecily Marie, and Thurman Justin "TJ" Noblit. Once Dwin and Debbie's children became young adults, Debbie also joined the family business, working in the claims department.

Dwin worked his way up in the family business becoming head of the commercial lines department. In 1994, the family business was sold to AAA Auto Club South Insurance Agency in Tampa, Florida. He continued working there as an insurance quality assurance manager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was past president and member of the Jaycees, both of Tarpon Springs.

Gone too soon. Dwin is truly loved and missed by his family.
Until we meet again sweet cousin......
