Born in Jefferson, he was a son of the late John and Minnie Byrd Holley. He was a farmer and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters; and sisters, Mrs. Lou Catoe of Cayce, Mrs. Ruth Lingle of West Columbia and Mrs. Juanita Hinson and Mrs. Mamie Byrd, both of Kershaw [all now deceased].

He was preceded in death by his wife, Neely C. Holley.
