George Roland Adams, 74, of the Cayce community in Hickman, Ky., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor. He was a member of Moscow Baptist Church where he had served as treasurer for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired farmer. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky., with the Rev. Rudy Ring and the Rev. Brent Ballow officiating. Burial will be in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery in Cayce, Ky. The family will receive visitors today at the funeral home from noon until service time. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Howard (Ballow) Adams of the Cayce community; a daughter, Amber (Adams) Long and husband, Monty, of Dyersburg; a sister, Kathryn Roberson of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Raymond Adams of Fulton, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Abby Dean Long of Murfreesboro and Lexie Adams Long of Dyersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Robin Ballow Adams; his parents, Raymond Fredrick Adams and Flora May (Henry) Adams; and four brothers, Richard Adams, Robert Adams, Ralph Adams and Russell Adams.

Roland Adams CAYCE, Ky. — Roland Adams, 74, of Cayce died Friday at Dyersburg Manor in Dyersburg, Tenn. He was a member of Moscow Baptist Church where he had served as treasurer for 20 years, a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Glenda Howard Ballow Adams; one daughter, Amber Adams Long of Dyersburg; one brother, Raymond Adams of Fulton; one sister, Kathryn Roberson of Little Rock, Ark.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robin Ballow Adams, and four brothers. His parents were Raymond Fredrick Adams and Flora May Henry Adams.
