Mrs. Irene Cooper, 63, a sisters resident for 30 years, died Saturday at St. Charles Memorial Hospital, Bend, after being transferred from Central Oregon District Hospital, Redmond.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sisters Church of Christ.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Church of Christ, both in Sisters. She was born Dec. 31, 1910, in Shellknob, Mo. She came to Central Oregon in 1944.

Survivors include five sons. Don Cooper, Clayton, N.M., Wendell Cooper, Hillsboro, Lynn D. Cooper, Reno, Nev., Dewey M. Cooper, Sisters, and Willie Clyde Cooper, Albany. There are 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She leaves two brothers, Rollie Mikeman, Cushing, Okla., and Cedric Clevenger, Creswell, and three sisters, Nola N. Henson, Fort Seward, Calif., Lela Burbridge, Shellknob, Mo., and Loris Burbridge, Rouge River.

Her husband, Estle Frank Cooper, died April 5, 1964.

Elder Lynn Hoover will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Pilot Butte Cemetery. The Niswonger Reynolds Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
