Dorothy Louise Reining Lowe, 87, of Loraine, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Cass County, the daughter of Henry and Lottie Crews Reining. She married John William Lowe on Sept. 18, 1953, and he preceded her in death June 20, 2004.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Diane (husband, Gale) Randall of Peoria, Russell Hall of Loraine, Paul Lowe of Las Vegas and Linda (husband, Jerry) Holder of Maryville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma Jane Fosha of Beardstown; and one brother, Irvin Reining of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie; and one brother, Clifford Reining.
Mrs. Lowe attended Cornerstone Gospel Assembly in Meredosia. She enjoyed singing and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Services were entrusted to Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home of Meredosia, Illinois.
