Marlin Rawlin Tice, 77, of rural Commerce died Monday at a Commerce hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at W. Y. Goff Chapel conducted by Rev. C. H. Pittman. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery. Born on July 29, 1889 in Hamilton, Alabama, he was the son of Peter and Margarie (Theiss) Tice. He married Della Mae Littrell on November 15, 1916 in Cumby. Survivors include his widow; his daughters, Naomi Jewell Tice of Mesquite and Vernell Margie Martin of Commerce; his sons, Hiram Franklin Tice and James Marvin Tice, both of Dallas, and Theadous Antony Tice of Commerce; his sister, Mary Stowe of Dallas; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
