Albert G. Landes, age 92, passed away at his home on October 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
Albert was born on March 15, 1916 in Springfield to George M. Landes and Grace Hamilton Landes.
He married Esther L. Johnston on August 5, 1936. They were married for 67 years.
She preceded him in death on May 27, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one son, George L. Landes and by two Daughter-in-Laws Freda Mae Landes and Betty Jo Landes.
He is survived by 5 sons, Albert M. Landes and wife Rosemary of Webb City, Arthur D. Landes and wife Irma of Oronogo, Carl E. Landes and wife Helen of Carl Junction, Robert W. Landes and wife Carol of Fair Grove, Mo. and Terry R. Landes of Palestine, Texas. Also
surviving are 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and sister, Marthel Leggett of Neosho.
Graveside Services for Albert G. Landes will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Weaver Cemetery, North of Oronogo, with the Reverend Jack Jones officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The Landes family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City.
