THOMAS BASIL STAFFORD, 89 of Memphis died October 15, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Stafford was a Presbyterian. He retired from Malone & Hyde after over 25 years. He was a pilot. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and loved animals. Mr. Stafford was a WWII Army veteran and served in the Aleutian Islands. Mr. Stafford was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Betty Thompson Stafford. He is survived by his daughter, Sondra Lynn Stafford of Memphis; his brother, Jimmy Rex Stafford of Petersburg, AK; and his sister, Shirley Ann Reynolds of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on what would have been his 90th birthday, Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 3 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel. A visitation will be held Saturday from 5-7 p.m. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
