Jean Louise Sells Foster, 72, of Boonville, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, Oct. 11, 2008.


Visitation for Jean will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 from 11 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Coletta Eichenberger officiating. Burial will follow at the Harris Cemetery at Prairie Home, Mo. with her brothers and brother-in-law serving as pall bearers.

Memorials are suggested to the Prairie Home United Methodist Church.

Jean L. Sells Foster was born in Prairie Home, Missouri Feb. 29, 1936, the daughter of Jodie Dalton Sells and Marjorie Berniece George Sells. She married John Foster and they had three daughters, Pam, Patty, and Paula. Jean had an abundance of energy which was directed in many directions. She enjoyed bowling, was an avid dancer who won several competitions. She was a big fan of NASCAR and just about any other sports events. Jean had a reputation as an avid sports fan, especially when her grandchildren were involved. Jean was a member of the Eastern Star and of the Boonville Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a member of the Methodist Church.



Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie in 1995. She is survived by her father, Jodie Sells of Prairie Home and by her daughters and their spouses; Pam and Randy Oswald of Boonville, Patty and Russ Bradshaw of Boonville and Paula and Bobbie Renfrow of Blackwater. Her grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Evan, Jesse and Rachel Oswald, Malinda Ivy Duffin and Maggie Bradshaw and Cassidy, Preston, Paige and Kennedy Renfrow will miss her very much, along with her great-grandchildren, Marcus Oswald and Victoria Lael. Her brothers, Bobby Joe Sells, Jimmy Dale Sells, Jerry Dalton Sells and Donald Earl Sells, all of Prairie Home and Richard Wayne Sells of Columbia and her sister, Dena Mae Sells Taggart of Prairie Home also survive
