Florence Debora "Debbie" Olsen, of Ceneterville, passed away suddenly October 10, 2008.
Born on Martha's Vineyard, Mrs. Olsen graduated from Oak Bluffs High School. In June of 1957, she married John Olsen Jr. and lived most of her life on the Vineyard, where they had two sons, John Olsen III and Zeb. She and her husband operated a farm and a business on the Vineyard, where she worked as the bookkeeper.
They loved to travel in their motor home for many years until they moved to Centerville in 1997. She was an active member of the Osterville United Methodist Church.
Debbie was predeceased by her husband in 2000 after 43 years of marriage; son, John Olsen III in May of 2007; and sister, Emily this past August.
She is survived by her son, Zeb of Centerville; sisters, Shirley Smith of Vineyard Haven, Gloria Steere of Oak Bluffs, Janet Packish of Falmouth, Nancy Howes of Dennis, and Rosemary Finley of Madison, AL; brothers, David Steere of West Tisbury and Stephen Steere of Richmond Hill, GA; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Vineyard Haven.
