James Merrell Jacobson ,passed away on Sunday December 23,1990 ; aged 72 years, 7 months, 22 days, of Minneapolis, son of Joseph A. Jacobson and Anna Gurina Ring. James, who formerly farmed in the Cannon Falls and Zumbrota areas, passed away on Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis. James was born May 1, 1918 in Leon Township, Goodhue County. He served with the U.S.Army in WW II and married Audrey Louise Westerberg, daughter of Elmer Westerberg and Alice Erickson, in April 1944,then moving to Dexter area in 1957 the couple were later divorced. He was preceded in death by his parents a daughter, Patricia 'Pasty' Louise Jacobson and 2 brothers; survivors include 2 daughters, Aliceann (Eugene) Berry of Sacramento, California and Diane E. Jacobson of Sunnyvale, California ; 3 sisters: Helen (Alexander)Glass of San Jose, California , Janet Jacobson of Troy, Ohio and Mildred Jacobson of Minneaplois ; and 4 brothers, Everette Jacobson of Oxnard, California, Eugene Jacobson of Zumbrota, Wallace Jacobson of Cannon Falls and Allen Jacobson of Willmar, Minn. The Funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 pm at Lands Lutheran Church in rual Zumbrota with Rev. Dawn Keller and Rev. Joel Keller officiating. Burial will be in Eidsvold Cemetery in Goodhue County, Leon Township. Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements....
