Dallas--Mrs. Alice Evelyn Lynn of Perrydale died Wednesday night at the local hospital after a brief Illness Mrs. Lynn became ill on Friday of last week and was removed to the hospital Monday. She underwent an operation Wednesday morning but failed to rally and died at 9 p.m.


She was born in Umatilla county June 20, 1863, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Richmond, well known Polk county residents, She graduated from La Creole academy in 1881 and taught in the Dallas schools from 1885 to 1888, She was a charter member of Naomi chapter Order of Easter Star and was honored in 1902 when she became worthy grand matron of Oregon.


On September 13, 1905 she married Frank E. Lynn of Perrydale.


She is survived by her widower and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Holman of Willamina.


Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Henkle and Thomas funeral parlors.
