Loving son of Forrest & Ava Sullivan and grandson of Luther and Cora Jennings.

Farrell was listed as MIA for what seemed an eternity. We later learned that he went down in North Vietnam near Hanoi in a USAF Aircraft F4E.

Farrell was an officer in the United States Air Force. His date of death is listed as June 27, 1972, however, we are not sure that this is the correct date. His remains were not returned to the United States until June 3, 1983, as part of a special negotiation.

Colonel, Pilot [McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4E)], 523rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 432nd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, Udorn Airbase, Thailand, U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War

Hostile Died While Missing, Air Loss Crash (shot down; Land, Fixed Wing) over North Vietnam near Hanoi; body/remains recovered 3 June 1983 and identified on 27 June 1983

Silver Star, Purple Heart, Air Medal w/5 OLCs, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal & Vietnam Service Medal
