Charles F. McPeak, 82; WWII and Korean Army veteran

Funeral services for Charles F. McPeak, 82, of Clarksville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.

He died Thursday, May 22, 2008 in the Hosparus Inpatient Unit at Norton Pavillion, Louisville.

He was born in Metropolis, Ill. He was a retired owner-operator, an Army veteran of WWII and Korea, a member of VFW Post 1832 Jeffersonville, and American Legion Post 35, Jeffersonville.

Survivors include his sons, Charles R. McPeak, Ralph R. McPeak and wife, Beth Lentz, and Robert R. McPeak, all of Clarksville; daughter, Carol F. McPeak, New Albany; sisters, Lois and June McCombs, both of Indianapolis; and grandchild [Allison C. McPeak].

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene McPeak.
