John was the Son of John M. And Virginia
(Stinchcomb). He was an only child. His Father was a Parma, Ohio Policeman and then became a Detective. John moved to West Palm Beach Florida in hopes of becoming a Policeman although his father was against it. He became a Deputy Sheriff in Palm Beach fulfilling his dream. When his Father retired he & Mrs Wonnerth moved down to Florida to be with their Son.
John married Mildred "Millie" Brown and was the stepfather of Timothy Brown.
His Father passed away and John along with his wife and Mother were going to move back to Ohio but unfortunately he had a heart attack and died at the age of 51.
He was a graduate of Parma High School in Parma OH.
John was like a second Son to us-he was my Son's friend for many years. We gave him the nickname "Chooch" because when he was young he would do some dumb things and then look at us with a crooked smile and say-I know-I'm a chooch.
It was a real shock losing him at such a young age. He had just come to visit us a few weeks before he died.
