Simeon Gale Myers, 75, of Main Street, Hawthorn, died at 11:15pm Sunday, Aug 26, 2001, in Clarion Hospital. Born July 5, 1926 in Hawthorn, he was the son of John M and Garnette B Dovenspike Myers. Mr Myers had been self-employed in the trucking business. He was a member of the Hawthorn Calvary United Methodist Church. Mr Myers enjoyed playing the guitar and organ.

Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Robert H and Betty J Myers of Sweet Valley and Walter V and Patricia Myers of Sherman, NY; and a very close friend, Jesse B Miller of Mayport RD1. In addition to his parents, Mr myers was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazelle Lawrence, Lorna Kunselman and Dorothy Young; and a brother, J Thomas Myers.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today in the Charles D Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev Paul Mitchell, pastor of the Hawthorn Calvary United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Hawthorn Cemetery, Clarion County.
