J.A. LASHMIT, KEEPER OF THE PARK, DEAD
Mr. Jesse Albert Lashmit, who for six years has been the keeper at Nissen Park, known by most of the people who visit that place, died very suddenly last night about 9 o' clock at home, 402 Green Street, Salem, the cause of his death being heart trouble. He was known to have heart disease, he having been ill for several weeks during the winter, but of late he had been unusually well, and last night he seemed very well when he retired early. He died before aid could reach him.
Mr. Lashmit is survived by his wife and several children. he was a good man, esteemed by all who knew him, and was for many years a consistent member of the church. He will be missed.
The funeral services will conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the home and interment will follow at Bethel, seven miles southwest of the City.
