Lillard Garl Carnley, 85, of Marshall passed away at his home July 1, 2005. The son of Boyd Lee and Nannie Elizabeth Graves Carnley, he was born December 30, 1919 in Round Timber, Texas. He was a mechanic and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margarett; four daughters, Linda Novak of Marshall, Brenda Horton of Marshall, Nancy Roberts of College Station, Texas, and Jodi Russell of College Station, Texas; two sons, Michael Carnley of Holliday, Texas and Stevan Carnley of Lafayette, Louisiana; nineteen grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm Saturday, July 2 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Carnley will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, with Randy Seawright and Fred Whitelaw officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
