BENESH, BERNARD, 73, a native of Austria died at his home in Burrville on September 11, 1964. He was born August 17, 1891 in Granben, Austria, now (Czechoslovikia) and emigrated to this county in 1909. He sailed from Bremen, Germany on the S.S. Frankfort debarking at Galveston, TX on July 28, 1909. He served in the Calvary of the U.S. Army from 1910 to 1919. He lived in Chicago where he worked in a steel mill. He retired for health reasons and moved to Burrville, TN where he lived in a relatively primitive cabin until his death . He studied Lucanidae and collaborated with the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. He published numerous papers between 1932 and 1960.
