William Bruce Bennett, a Minden resident, passed away on October 1, 2008. He was 75 years old. William was born on July 10, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of William and Lillian (Tower) Bennett. He grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles, CA, graduating from Franklin High School in 1951. He married his high school sweetheart, Virginia Cooper, in May of 1951. The couple lived and raised their family in LA County for 46 years. William worked as a machinist for Boeing and McDonald Douglas. After his retirement in 1997 they moved to Minden, NV. William was a member of the Minden-Douglas Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 2670 where he served as Trustee for four years.

William is survived by his wife, Virginia Bennett of Minden; daughter, Katherine Bennett of California; son, Daniel Bennett of Juneau, AK; three sisters-in- law; two brothers-in-law; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA. Final arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
