Chester O. Schuler, 56, of Madison Heights, died Friday, March 9, 2001 at St. John-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, after a long illness. He was born June 17, 1944 in Roscommon. Chester married Helen (Cavender), March 30, 1974 in Warren. He lived in Oakland County for 16 years and previously lived in Gladwin. He was a laborer for G.T.E. Valenite in Madison Heights, retiring after 32 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Karen and Becky Schuler, both of Madison Heights; two brothers, LeRoy of Gladwin and Terry of Flint; four sisters, Betty Smith and Sherley McCummings, both of Gladwin, Tish Pollington of McBain, and June Cavender of Madison Heights; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Chet and Terry in 1975.
Services were held at noon Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin with Rev. Harvey Cavender officiating. Burial was in Butman Cemetery, Gladwin.
