From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, September 15, 1987:

Edward W. Forsberg Sr. Services for Edward William Forsberg Sr., 82, of 2002 W. Elwood Ave., who died about 4 a.m. Monday in his home after an illness, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka.

Mr. Forsberg was a painting contractor, retiring in 1962. He was born Aug. 17, 1903, in South Bend, and lived in the area most of his life. In August 1928, in South Bend, he married Marie K. Szabo . She died in 1952. On April 09, 1955, In Dallas, he married Thelma Lee Peak. She died in 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Anna Yandle of Osceola, two sons, Robert J. and Edward W. Jr., both of South Bend; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mr. Forsberg was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of Local 9 of the Painters Union, Kansas City, Mo.
