IMELDA ANGELA RENNER, 89, died at 6 p.m. Oct. 17, 2005, at the VanCrest Assisted Living Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Putnam County, to Henry and Clara Recker Ricker, who preceded her in death. On May 24, 1939, she married Richard Joseph Renner, who died Oct. 7, 2005.
Mrs. Renner was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, where she volunteered her time cooking at the church festival. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, the Homemaker’s Club, and the Christian Family Movement. She had also been a 4-H adviser.
Survivors include five children, Angela (Donald) Hoehn, Kenneth A. (Carol) Renner and Arlene M. (Ronald) Wagner, all of Delphos, Robert (Louise) Renner of Van Wert, and Doris Ann Sturgeon of Lima; 14 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 stepgreat-grandchildren, three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Garnet Ricker.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Hope Renner; four brothers, Bernard, Albert, Leo and Alvin Ricker; and three sisters, Lucy Boberg, Gertrude Bendele, and Emma Schnipke.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Delphos, where a CLC service will be held at 3 p.m. and a parish wake service at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be to the St. John’s Parish Foundation or St. Rita’s Hospice.
