She was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, May 11, 1932, to Lucien and Eva (Tochette) Boisvert. She came to the United States in 1943, living in Hudson and Nashua. She resided in Manchester since 1959.
Before retiring in 2006 because of ill health, she was a Realtor with Michael Muduryan Real Estate and was previously associated with Century 21 and Norwood Realty.
An accomplished crafts person and silk flower arranger, she operated Regina's Gift Shop at Pine Island Plaza in Manchester.
Mrs. Light was a dedicated advocate for Child & Family Services and donated both her time and treasure to them. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and dining out with her husband.
IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alcide G. Light of Manchester; two sons, Arnold J. Light and his wife, Diane, of Litchfield and Steven A. Light and his wife, Cheryl, of Goffstown; seven grandchildren, Steven T. Light, Michelle C. Perry. John K. Light, Nikole Light, Michelle Pellerin, Shawn Dubois and Krystal Boyd; six great-grandchildren, Taylor M. Light, Brandon Pellerin, Jarrett Pellerin, Dean Dubois, Derric Dubois and Ashleigh Clay; a sister, Murielle Birk; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
SERVICES: After her cremation, a memorial reception will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road.
Urn encryptment will follow at 1 p.m. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
