LEORIAL Hadley ABBOTT was born in Rigby, Idaho, the daughter of Elmer Evan Waters and Melbie Ormond Waters.
She was the Valedictorian of her eighth grade class, and her high school graduating class. She was the editor of the Rigby High School weekly newspaper, and was on the year book staff.
She served as Secretary of the Primary, and Sunday School, at the age of 10. She served as secretary of the Rigby Stake Relief Society Board. She also served as Relief Society President in Denver, Colorado. She served in several wards and in four stakes. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South Florida Mission 1973-1974. Leorial married Orval George Hadley, September 2, 1938, in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. He preceded her in death in October of 1971. She later married Stephen Garth Abbott, January 5, 1985, in Long Beach, California. She is survived by her husband Stephen Garth Abbott One daughter, of Pocatello, Idaho. Two sisters, She is survived by 12 grandchildren. Leorial is preceded by her parents, one daughter, Marilyn Lee, and two brothers, Parley and Lee Waters.
