MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH OF WILLIAM DAVID & MARY ANN CECIL' DALTON.

"The pin she(Mary Ann Cecil' Dalton)' wears says "MARY". It is pure gold. In 1955 my mother(Ollie Avery) had the pin. Her mother(Emily Jane Dalton's) house burned and the pin melted into a nugget".
Larry And Kathleen both had this Portrait & Story written on a photograph!
There is much more information about William David and Mary Ann however, it will not be published here!
I will no longer delete my family in order to satisfy anyone else! THIS MATTER IS CLOSED! All of this nonsense simply because two men connected to the same family look alike.
Oh, and BTW, Matilda Dalton' Self was William David Dalton's Aunt, daughter of William David Dalton's parents, William & Anna Tidwell' Dalton. I had received the trunk that had a number of Self Family photos along with Thomas and Martha Horn. This trunk from my grandpa and mom flooded in my care in the mid 1990's, so for those claiming Self and Dalton were not related, sorry. Matilda md Andrew Jackson Self and inside the trunk included at least two pictures of him and the graves. Ty

William David was the Son of William Dalton and Anna Tidwell. I have verified some of his siblings to been the following, including those names I recall or in the 1850c; Asa Dalton who married Jemima Daniel, Matilda Dalton whom married Andrew Jackson Self, Susan Dalton age 24, John Dalton age 18 died on steamship, The 'Golden Gate', Edmund Dalton age 16 married Priscilla Cecil'(biological sister of Mary Ann Cecil), Elizabeth Dalton age 13, Synthia Dalton age 7, Rachel age 4 years.

He married Mary Ann Cecil. Their children: William Albert,Rebecca Ann, Mary Elizabeth, Martha A., Sarah Lavanda, Nancy Rachel, Emley Jane, Arva Zena, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Francis Ideller and Rosay Geneva. Several of his children moved to California.

Enlisted into the 4th Arkansas Infantry Co H "Polk Invincibles" on Aug. 17, 1861 at Mount Vernon, MO. He was medically discharged on Nov. 17, 1862.

(NOTE: This article was in our family trunk if I recall accurately)!

Don't believe this is the Bill Dalton that was a bank robber. That Bill died in 1894.
(BY E.CECIL?)

NOTE: I, BelieveAnyway, (Kathleen Krajewski) started researching my Great Grandpa William David Dalton in the 1990's though I was desperately wanting to find out more about my grandpa's family and of coarse more about my grandma's as well, however I was working a lot and about 2001 I was new at scanning pictures, crashed my computer and lost so much, then our very old trunk handed down to my mom & I flooded in my care! Most was lost. Later, I almost died and this family stole the rest! I believe this trunk handed down to mom, Mina (LYNN) ) & I did belong to John Dalton, son of William Dalton (b. 1797) who after John's death on steamship, Golden Gate, please see Newspaper clippings on William Dalton SR(1797) for that information! Thank You
~Kathleen Marie Freitas' Krajewski

NOTE: Larry Ciet added two photograph's.
I'm guessing Larry is a cousin I do believe whom got the two online.
The one photograph with no frame of my GG Grandparents, William & Mary were shared to me and on ancestry by my cousin Oliver Wendell Harris Jr whom he received directly from our cousin) Leonard Franklin Overly, whom has fairly recently passed away. I, Kathleen, spent years trying to find his parents due to items in my family trunk handed down to me. The trunk was practically full of generations of original photos, letters, items.
It included a vase that read 'Rosie Long 1908', and the same size tiny Shirley Temple blue translucent vase. I had broken the handle. All of thats now gone! A lady told me after i got out of hospital and felt big better told me in her state, I only have 30 days to get my stuff or it is considered abandoned, including the last vehicle my husband & I owned that my don gave to my grandson whom I was never able to restore it for him after my soulmate for over three decades died.
HERE IS WHAT COUSIN OLIVER STATED IN SHARING THIS PHOTOGRAPH,(Oliver stated Larry has since passed away)
"Larry Overly of Tacoma WA area owns the large portrait of William D and Mary Ann this thumbnail was made from."

IMPORTANT NOTE:
THE PHOTO OF THE PERSON WITH THE HAT THAT LARRY CIET SHARED, was originally started by myself on ancestry when I was very green and rookie to the Internet! I saw the picture in an article, and thought it resembled a photograph in our family trunk. I have zero way of verifying if this particular photograph is accurate because this picture was not burnt into my mind like many others were, such as Elijah's Tombstone, John Elijah's newspaper clipping words on his memorial, Linda Dalton's whole family, Mariah Elmira's family, Louis/Lewis family, our Tidwell families, our Avery families, etc. Later, I deleted that photo of what i thought might be our William David Dalton or family from my page on ancestry, because i did not have any way to verify if accurate!
Then, I soon realized months or short years later that nothing is ever truly deleted from ancestry or online. I soon found my cousin had accepted it. It ended back on my page! I found that picture on a website whom claimed he was notorious Bill Dalton. There is a lot of misinformation out their.
I will say, our trunk did hold a lot of originals if the Dalton Boys, published pages of our connection to those buried on William David & Mary Ann Cecil' Dalton's land! When Mary Ann Cecil' Dalton was forced to sell their farm, it is said one stipulation was that part if the land was supposed to be used for folks that could not afford burials. This was agreed to, however, my cousin Oliver Jr & I agreed this did not happen!
Let me say, there was a photo in our trunk with a man with a hat. This could very well have been the photograph, however, I can no longer prove if it is or if it is not because my family trunk flooded very sadly in my care, and I can no longer recall for certain what that photograph looked like. THEREFORE, I CAN NOT VALIDATE THIS PHOTO MANY ARE CLAIMING TO BE YOUNG WILLIAM DAVID DALTON(1840), my great grandpa. I can only state the facts above! Honestly, if this is of William David or his dad, who knows for certain? Could have been William(1797) but NOONE CAN VALIDATE THIS TO BE WILLIAM DAVID DALTON IN THE TOP HAT PHOTOGRAPH! If I can not, and our family trunk was full, then unless you can verify him through the photo of both my great grandparents, we just can not validate!
Thank you,
Kathleen M Freitas' Krajewski
