Emma was the daughter of Squire Masterson and Mary Elizabeth Shepard Masterson and wife of Louis Ferrell.

SIKESTON - Mrs. Emma Ferrell, 87 years old, a ling time resident of Sikeston, died at 3:15 Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday. She was the widow of Louis Ferrell who died in 1934.
Born in Commerce April 29, 1875. Mrs. Ferrell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Squire Masterson. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Roberts and Miss Eva Newton, both of Sikeston, and a grandson, Dr. T. A. Roberts of Brunswick, GA. A daughter, Mary F. Lancaster, died last year in Sikeston.
Services will be conducted at 2 Friday afternoon at the Welsh Funeral Home by Dr. Lester McGee of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
