The family farmed in Rosedale, in McClain county, before his retirement in 1945 and moved to Oklahoma City. They had been members of the Presbyterian church since 1897.
Their family included four daughters and four sons: Mrs. Etha Mosely, Mrs. Laura Easley, Mrs. Del Dyson, all of OKC, and Mrs. Inez Wakely, wife of cowboy singer and actor, Jimmy Wakely, Hollywood, CA.; Grady, Harvey, Gene and Norman Miser, all of OKC.
