Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Harrington Alsip and Donna Lou Jackson Alsip.
He had worked as an auto body man and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by six daughters, Christy Armstrong, Kimberly Meacacke, Sherry Meacacke, Jennifer Meacacke and Candice Meacacke, all of Ohio and Amanda Alsip of Corbin; brother, Roger Alsip and his wife, Melanie of Corbin; sister, Angie Clifford and her husband, P.J., of Bardstown, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; one niece and six nephews; and others who will mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert D. King, Jr., officiating.
Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will recrive friends from 6 - 9 PM Thursday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
