Geral W. Hayhurst was born February 16, 1937 at Porum, Oklahoma the son of John Franklin and Ethel (Largent) Hayhurst. Geral died Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 68 years of age.
Geral was a 1955 graduate of Warner, Oklahoma High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Mary Jean Price on May 9, 1959 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. They moved to Tulsa in 1980 from Jenks. Geral retired from Amoco on June 1, 1992 after 33 years. He was currently the Audio-Visual Coordinator at ORU. He was a real Handy Man; he liked to work on Televisions and small engines, once owning his own T.V. Repair Shop. He liked to fish, play ping-pong and he enjoyed music, playing the guitar and organ. He was a member of Woodlake Assembly of God, Light for the Lost Councilman and Pace Setters Sunday School Class.
