Services for Woodrow Anthony, 64, of Humble, were held Monday, Sept 22, 2008 at the Brookside Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Deacon Leal officiating. Interment was in the Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Anthony was born July 13, 1944 in Diboll to Illa Ruth (Stringer) and Wood Fancher Anthony, and passed away Sept. 20, 2008 at Triumph Hospital in Spring. He had lived in Diboll, Hudson and Houston.

He graduated from Aldine High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a radioman aboard the USS Terrebonne Parish. Over the years he had worked as a Houston Chronicle carrier, radio repairman for Delta Air Lines and retired as a draftsman from Krueger Boiler Co. in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Irma Anthony of Humble; three sons, Robert James Anthony and Jessica of Conroe, Woody Fancher Anthony of Houston and Carlos Anthony of Humble; one daughter, Lisa Espinoza of Humble; sister, Carolyn and Eddie Smith of Diboll and brother, Vance Anthony of Lufkin.
