Sandra Kay Clifton

Funeral service for Sandra Kay Clifton will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at First Baptist Church, Inola, with Rev. Bill Ed Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Sandra died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home at the age of 64.

The daughter of George V. Robertson, Sr. and Thelma M. (Grigor) Robertson was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Tulsa. Sandra grew up in Sapulpa, graduation from Sapulpa High School in 1961. While in school she was very active in activities, and held several different class offices. Sandra worked for the City of Sapulpa and Southwestern Bell before taking time off to take care of her mother.

Sandra was fighting her own battle with breast cancer at the same she was taking care of her mother. On May 26, 1978, Sandra married Dale Gene Clifton at the Chouteau Church of God, and they made their home in Inola. Sandra went to work with Rose Ann Realtors in Claremore before starting her own realty company, Sandra Clifton Real Estate, Inc., in April 2001. Sandra enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She also enjoyed fishing, being in the water, and traveling. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Van Robertson; twin sister, Sharon Mitchell; and nephew, Scott Bell.

She is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; children: Rhonda (Duty) Gatrell and husband, Kevin of Broken Arrow, Jodi (Duty) Crane of Bixby, and Brian Clifton of the home; grandchildren: Gavin Gatrell and wife, Lindsay of Kansas City, Kan., Ashley Reyna and husband, Mat of Broken Arrow, Britta Gatrell of Broken Arrow, and Michala Krier of Bixby; great-grandchildren: Mariah Reyna, Baylor Reyna, and Bailee Fancher; brother, Ronald Robertson and wife, Lenda of Houston, Texas; father of her daughters, Eddie Duty of Sapulpa; and numerous extended family members.
